Today is the day where I start to say goodbye to all my favorite places in Flagstaff. I had to at least stop by Macy’s Coffee and get their dank breakfast sandwich, drink their “Bohemian Espresso” & listen to some hippie AF folk music. Man I’m going to miss this hippie place. I have always sat at the same spot since Freshmen year. I engraved my name in the table one day and haha it is still here!! Man, It is so weird that I am leaving for two years, but my dad has always taught me - You can look but don't stare. My dad gives me a bunch of life lessons & I am so so so so so freaking blessed to have him in my life. His inspirational quotes were always something I never really listened to (sorry dad but read the rest....) But then during a time of need his voice pops up in my mind with one of his brainy, corny quotes he said 6 years ago. So dad, Thank you. I love you. & I will always listen to you from now on. haha.
"YOU CAN LOOK BUT DON'T STARE"
I am reflecting and looking at all the beauty God and Flagstaff has brought to me in my life and I am so appreciative. With Flagstaff Locals saying hello to me as I walk downtown, Never got my car broken into when I left my keys in the car (sorry dad), receiving a Thank you from all my clients I used to work with, letting me pet their dogs and baby sit them outside of a coffee shop because they need a daily dose of espresso as well, getting random texts from regulars at my old jobs as they said they thought of me and checked in on me. May I go on? Holy man so many AMAZING people in Flagstaff, Arizona and I can't wait to move back after Asia to start my Masters in Social Work.
on that note;
goodbye Macy’s coffee. goodbye dank breakfast sandwich.
goodbye engraved Molly table.
goodbye to the smell of patchouli and BO.
next stop, Hollister. after that?
Myanmar, Asia.
“It’s look back but don’t stare.” -Dad
